Jomo Cosmos skipper, Thato Lingwati has blamed last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Black Leopards on his team’s naïve approach to the game.

Lingwati, who opted to play the game despite losing his one-month old daughter last Friday, scored at the death to snatch a point for Ezenkosi in the brawling encounter.

It was his third goal of the current campaign, and a very crucial one ahead of Wednesday’s away tie against Platinum Stars.

“We were too naive in our approach and gave Leopards too much respect. Knowing how dangerous they were I think we gave too much away in the middle of the pack and allowed them to come at us.

“If we are serious about winning the play-offs we need to up our game and play like the real Cosmos,” he said.
