A win is what we need - Muianga

Jomo Cosmos believe that just one win, after four defeats in a row, is what the team needs to turn the corner.

And, Amazulu may find themselves in serious trouble when the two meet in a Absa Premiership clash scheduled for the Rand stadium in Rosettenville, Johannesburg on Saturday evening.

Kick off is at 8.15pm.

Cosmos have lost to Orlando Pirates, Supersport United, Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs and believe the tough games cannot come bigger than that.

Helder "Mano Mano" Muianga, assistant coach at Ezenkosi says he believes the team is on track and will soon find the elusive luck that is a very necessary part of the beautiful game.

"The recent break due to the international games being played was a blessing in disguise and did us as a team the world of good and everything is going well as a result.

"We have been able to work on our short-comings as you know we are still to get a winning combination following our promotion back to the elite league. We have a lot of youngsters in the team and a host of new guys who were signed at the beginning of the 2009/20 season. It was never going to be easy for them to click and play as a unit this early but we are getting there.

"We also believe the team hasbeen doing well except for some small mistakes at the back which lead to us conceding goals while at the same time we are not scoring on the other side. On the positive side we have been able to create scoring opportunities which we have to convert to win games. We have been working on all these issues at training and we are hopefulthat we will turn the corner very soon. One win will turn things around because we have a good team and we are going to move out of the danger zone soon and start making waves. The spirit is much better within the team now as the players had been a bit down since our 2-1 defeat to Bidvest Wits.

"We have been playing some usefull friendly games and are ready for the weekend's assignment," says Muianga.

Out of this game is defender Asande Mvalo who is on three yellow cards while the team welcomes central defenders Osman Berthe and Thapelo Tshilo from serving their suspensions.

Muianga also declared a clean bill of health with only minor knocks which do not rule anybody out of the game.
