This may be the game to change things

It is now or never and Jomo Cosmos believe tonight’s Absa Premiership game against Moroka Swallows at the Rand stadium in Rossettenville should be the turning point in the team’s fortunes.

Kick off is at 8.15pm.

The league is coming to the half way stage and with one win so far, it can not get any worse for Ezenkosi. What is puzzling is that the team is playing very well but the goals are just not coming our way.

Captain and goalkeeper, Avril “Chawe” Phali believes that it is now a matter of nothing but luck not smiling Cosmos’ way.

“We are positive something will give very soon. It is sometimes frustrating to be on the losing side having played better than the opposition but failing to score while they get one chance and bury it. We need luck more than any thing at the moment. Sometimes you can’t explain the goings on in football and you have to keep on digging deep and hoping that things will go your way at some stage. That has to begin somewhere and tonight’s game against Swallows may be just what we had been waiting for to change things around,” says the amiable goal-minder.

The return of players like Thapelo Tshilo, Thabiso Hlalele and Osman Berthe may be just what the doctor has ordered to see the team at full strength for a change after hobbling along in the past two or three games.

The results after Cosmos’ games are always puzzling to observers as the performances belie the outcome.

Swallows are also blowing hot and cold and that could give Ezenkosi the much needed oomph and help change the team’s fortunes for the better.
