The late Dan Leboa
South African soccer legend, Dr. E.M. ‘Jomo’ Sono, has conveyed a message of condolence on behalf of Jomo Cosmos FC to the family of departed former PSL General Manager of Football, Dan Leboa who passed away last Friday after a brief illness.
Sono described Leboa as an icon in the field of soccer administration, stressing that his immense contribution to the growth of South African football will be sorely missed.
“Leboa represented the best for our nation in terms of football administration, and indeed his tremendous contributions will be missed. May his gentle soul rest in peace,” Sono said.
Leboa worked in football administration since 1972, serving both at club level, and also at the Premier Soccer League as a Chief Gate Controller and later as General Manager of Football.
Meanwhile, the League will be holding a memorial service for the late administrator on Thursday, 19 October 2017 at the Premier Soccer League Auditorium, 2 Winchester Road, Parktown, beginning from 14h00.
The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, 22 October, 2017 at Nasrec Chapel, Nasrec Road, Johannesburg South, starting from 08HOO.
