Jomo Cosmos continued their impressive build up to the start of the NFD campaign when they overpowered Motsepe League team, Polokwane City Rovers 4-2 overall in a training game in Glenesk, near Rand Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Ezenkosi won the first of three separate 30-minute encounters by 2-1 margin, as Tebogo Makobela and Nkanyiso Madonsela found the target for Jomo Sono’s team, while Lehlohnolo Radebe pulled one back for the visitors.

However, City Rovers rallied back to win the second set, thanks to a solitary goal from Tsepo Malope.

In the third game, Cosmos came back stronger to win 2-0 courtesy of two brilliant strikes from Malawian midfield sensation Miciam Mhone, and a world-class free kick by Sibusiso “Master”Mdamba.

The victory was a good prelude to this weekend’s Transversal Cup Invitational Tournament in Mpumalanga, where Cosmos are up against Acornbush United FC, Mbombela United and Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland.
