Jomo Cosmos captain, Frederic Nsabiyumva says the team is looking to snatch victory when they visit 7th-placed Mthatha Bucks on opening day of the second half of the NFD season Saturday afternoon.

With Ezenkosi trailing log leaders Thanda Royal Zulu by a massive 13 points and sitting 5th on the log with 23 points from 15 matches, the Burundi international defender feels it’s time the team grabbed the bull by its horns.

“We simply don’t have a choice but to start on a winning trail. To go back to the PSL we need to win away matches, and that’s our mission as we visit Mthatha,” said the 22-year-old centre back.

Bucks, who recently appointed the experienced Ian Palmer as new coach, have enjoyed an impressive unbeaten home record in over a year in the NFD, and the eastern Cape side will be hoping to continue with that streak on Saturday.

When both sides slugged it out for the first time this season at the North West University ground in Potchefstroom last September, Cosmos came out tops thanks to Mxolisi Macuphu’s solitary strike.

With the exception of Matsilele Sono Jnr, Brice Aka and Kevin Ndayisenga who are nursing injuries, Cosmos boss Jomo Sono is expected to present a strong squad for Saturday’s crucial game.
