Hanamub called up by Namibia ahead of Afcon qualifier vs Zambia

The FIFA international break comes up after this weekend’s crucial NFD tie between Jomo Cosmos and Uthongathi FC, and Ezenkosi defender, Riaan Hanamub will be joining 27 other players for Namibia’s training camp ahead of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Zambia on March 23.

Local-based players of the Brave Warriors have already commenced training. The team will be trimmed to 23 players before the trip to Zambia.

Namibia currently lies second behind Guinea-Bissau in Group K, and victory over Zambia should see the Brave Warriors going through to the biennial tournament to be hosted by Egypt in June.

Namibia’s 28-man squad is as follows: Virgil Vries, Maximillian Mbaeva, Loydt Kazapua, Edward Maova, Petrus Shitembi, Tiberius Lombard, Ananias Gebhardt, Willy Stephanus, Denzil Haoseb, Peter Shalulile, Marcel Papama, Riaan Hanamub, Dynamo Fredericks, Emilio Martin, Ronald Ketjijere, Benson Shilongo, Ivan Kamberipa, Edmund Kambanda, Muna Katupose, Sadney Urikhob, Joslin Kamatuka, Vitapi Ngaruka, Charles Hambira, Treasure Kauapirura, Itamunua Keimuine, Immanuel Heita, Absalom Iimbondi and Deon Hotto.
