Jomo Cosmos striker, Kevin “Dambo” Ndayisenga, says he’s excited to be back from injury after being laid off since December 2016.
Ezenkosi’s attacking options received a major boost during the week following Ndayisenga’s much anticipated return, and the 22-year-old cannot wait to start firing again.
“Indeed I am delighted to be back and willing to help the team if selected to play. The last few months have been hell for me sitting on the sidelines as I was unable to train or play matches,” the former FC Bujumbura attacking prodigy recalled.
The Burundian international has so far posted seven league starts and two substitute appearances in the current campaign, but had been laid off since hurting his popliteal fossa ligaments (located at the back of the knee joint), at training.
He opened his goals account in the 4-1 mauling of AmaZulu last October, and added his second league goal via a penalty against Magesi FC in December.
His last match was at Royal Eagles on December 10 where Cosmos lost 2-1 in an NFD game.
The team is scheduled to visit Witbank Spurs in a crucial NFD tie on Saturday, and Dambo’s possible addition should complement the squad and obviously, increase Ezenkosi’s goal scoring opportunities.
