Jomo Cosmos have been dealt a huge blow ahead of Friday’s NFD clash away to Ajax Cape Town after midfielder Tebogo Mabula and right back Nkululeko Tshangane failed to recover from injury.

Both players limped off the field with knee and hamstring injuries respectively during last week’s 1-0 defeat by Maccabi FC, will not be part of the trip to Cape Town.

Mabula’s case appears more severe, as the midfielder may be ruled out for a further three weeks at least depending on further medical assessment.

Also unavailable for the Ajax Cape Town game is centre back Sicelo Hlatshwayo, who was granted compassionate leave following the death of a relative.

Meanwhile, Bafana Tshawe rejoined the squad in training this week after recovering from a calf injury.

The South African junior international had been on the sidelines since playing his last official game for Ezenkosi in November 2019 against Real Kings.
