Jomo Cosmos will be without reliable centre back, Thato Lingwati when the team visits Witbank Spurs in a crucial NFD tie on Saturday.

The 24-year-old, who has played in every single official game this season, is currently sitting on four yellow cards, and has been automatically ruled out against Siyavutha.

Goalkeeper Clement “Cassilas” Ramakgasha also failed to make the squad to Witbank after suffering a neck injury at training on Thursday.

That means a return to the squad for reserve goalkeeper, Williams Okpara Junior, who has not made the cut since November last year.

However, some cheering news for Ezenkosi fans is the return of Matsilele Sono Junior, who had been sidelined by ankle injury since the start of the second half of the season. Matsi is part of the squad travelling for this weekend’s NFD clash against Witbank Spurs.

Cosmos are currently 4th on the log with 29 points in 19 matches, while Spurs are three points adrift at 9th position.
