Jomo Cosmos ace midfielder, Thato Sithole looks set to miss this weekend’s opening NFD game against FC Cape Town due to a shoulder strain.
He last trained with the team more than a week ago, and has been consigned to light training after dislocating his shoulder.
According to the player, he is due for an appointment with the team’s doctor on Tuesday, after which appropriate diagnosis and treatment will be prescribed.
Sithole has enjoyed some memorable moments with Ezenkosi, posting a string of impressive performances in the past couple of seasons. including been part of the team that won promotion to the PSL last term.
He was later called up for South Africa’s COSAFA Cup programme though he never got a look in for the final selection.
“I sustained the shoulder problem at training, and at first I thought it was a minor thing, but making physical contact has been difficult. But I’ll be able to assess the extent of damage after seeing the doctor today (Tuesday),” he disclosed.
