Former Jomo Cosmos star, El-Hadji Abdou Samb is back to the team in search of a new contract.
The Senegalese midfield ace was a conspicuous figure at Friday afternoon’s training session in Glenesk, joining up with the rest of the lads after arriving from Dakar.
Capped 15 times by Senegal, his country of birth, Samb first teamed up with Cosmos in 2007, and was a core member of the team for four years, starring in the PSL as well as NFD.
In 2013 he returned to Senegal where he played for and captained Mbour Petite Cote FC in that country’s Premier League division.
Samb is best remembered for converting the last kick that steered Cosmos back to Premiership football in May 2011, when they edged Bay United in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out drama at Makhulong Stadium, Tembisa.
