Tsakane Stadium to host Jomo Cosmos vs Milano United

The Premier Soccer League (PSL), on Thursday approved the change of venue for next Wednesday’s NFD clash between Jomo Cosmos and visiting Milano United.

The game has been moved to the 25,000-capacity Tsakane Stadium in Brakpan, on the East Rand, instead of Olen Park Stadium in Potchefstroom, where Cosmos have played their home matches since July 2015.

This follows the unresolved dispute between Leopards Rugby team the current tenants of Olen Park, and the North West Municipality.

Last September, a similar situation had forced Cosmos to move their NFD fixture against Mthatha Bucks to the nearby North West University ground before sanity prevailed, albeit temporarily.

From all indications, the decision to move the Cosmos-Milano game to Tsakane could become long term, and the arena may likely host the rest of Ezenkosi’s official games of the season including next month’s Nedbank Cup Round of 32 clash against United Rovers FC.
