The battle for survival is getting stiffer as Jomo Cosmos travel to Pretoria on Saturday to face AmaTuks (University of Pretoria) in a Match Day 28 NFD contest slated for Tuks Stadium.
Reports from Ezenkosi’s camp reveal a clean bill of health for regular players as Captain and defensive pillar, Ange Dahou Lebahi leads his troops to war.
Cosmos currently lie in a precarious 12th on the NFD log and badly need a good result from this trip to be on safe ground ahead of next weekend’s home game against Tshakhuma TM.
Both Cosmos and Tuks are out of contention for a play-off spot but matches between Cosmos and AmaTuks have never lacked that excitement and competitive spirit.
On current form, both teams are on a high having achieved positive away results last weekend; AmaTuks enjoyed a rare 2-1 win away to TS Sporting while Cosmos held Real Kings to a goalless draw in Durban.
The first round clash between the sides last October ended 1-1 at Vosloorus Stadium, with Ezenkosi rallying to grab a share of the spoils through Charlton Mashumba following Diego Franco’s opener.
Four points separate the teams as AmaTuks lie 10th on the log with 34 points in 27 matches, while Cosmos are 12th with 30 points from similar number of games.
Kick off time at the Tuks Stadium is 15h00.
