Jomo Cosmos boosted their chances of survival in the NFD when they battled to earn a crucial point against Real Kings last Saturday.

Ezenkosi’s gritty display at the King Zwelithini Stadium ensured that both teams shared the points with Cosmos moving up to 12th on the log while Kings slumped to 15th.

It was a long hard day for the hosts as they fought hard but were unable to breach a resilient Cosmos back line marshaled by the veteran Ange Lebahi and young shot-stopper Melusi Buthelezi.

In a second half blitz that saw Ezenkosi retreating under a barrage of attacks, Kings should have broken the deadlock, but were twice denied by the woodwork.

Remarkably, Cosmos also came within distance of snatching a rare away victory, but substitute Chibuike Ohizu failed to utilize glaring opportunities.

This weekend, Cosmos will be guests of University of Pretoria in a Match Day 28 contest slated for Tuks Stadium.
