Laqwela regains fitness ahead of Mbombela clash, but Maziya, Sibeko remain sidelined

Jomo Cosmos have received a major boost ahead of this weekend’s NFD fixture following the return of right back Siphenathi Laqwela.

The 22-year-old had been out for more than three weeks with an ankle injury since playing his last game against AmaTuks on February 3.

Laqwela was back in training with the rest of the squad on Tuesday but central midfielder Mduduzi Sibeko remains shut out with a niggling knee problem, while ace winger Silas Maziya looks set to miss his third straight game also due to a bad knee.

Cosmos will be aiming for maximum league points when they visit Mbombela United at the 41,000-seater Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
